Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Skid Plate Set for CFMOTO X8 / CFORCE 800 / 820LE

An aluminium underbody set for the CFMOTO X8, CFORCE 800 and 820LE — the standard version, with the arm guards in the specification these machines shipped with.

There is a second version of this set with aluminium arm guards in place of the standard ones. Which one you want depends on how hard the front suspension gets used: the aluminium arms are the harder-wearing option and cost the same. See the comparison below.

What both versions do is cover the drivetrain in alloy along the length of the frame. On an 800-class machine that means engine case, gearbox and CVT housing, none of which is a cheap repair.

This is a V1 — the plate carries the CFMOTO logo and is supplied through official distributors. V2 is the same part without the badge.
