A skid plate set for the small and mid-size CFMOTO CFORCE machines, in aluminium alloy with clear anodising. Plate thickness is 4 mm. Clear anodising is not a finish choice made for looks. Bare aluminium in contact with wet soil and road salt corrodes and pits; anodising puts a hard oxide layer on the surface that resists it, and it does so without adding a coating that scrapes off on the first rock. Four millimetres is the working thickness across this range. It is enough to stop a stone from reaching the engine case and enough to resist the deformation that turns a thin plate into a scoop. These are the machines most likely to be ridden by someone still learning where the ground clearance runs out, which is precisely when underbody protection pays for itself. SKU: 3146 Learning ground, where the underside finds out what the driver did not. Wet and salted ground, where the anodised finish outlasts a painted one. Trail riding on a small machine, which has less clearance to start with than the big ATVs. Fits the following CFMOTO models: For Euro4 machines in the same range, use the EURO4 version instead.
