ATV gas can

ATV and UTV gas cans that mount to the machine instead of riding loose or strapped to a rack. Most cans here are shaped to one particular Tesseract cargo box or front rack, so they sit flush, stay put on rough ground and leave the box lid free to open. Capacities run from 5 to 21 litres (about 1.3 to 5.5 US gallons), for Can-Am, CFMOTO, Polaris, Segway, TGB, Hisun, Loncin, ODES, Sharmax and Kymco machines.

Three kinds of ATV gas can

Box-matched cans. The profile of the can repeats the lid or the side of a specific Tesseract box, so the two meet as one surface and the lid still opens with fuel on board. The most popular is the 10-litre can for the Can-Am Outlander box, followed by the 15-litre can for the Maverick X3 and the 5-litre can for CFMOTO 550, 850 and X5–X10. Each is made for its own box, so check which box is on your machine first.
Front-rack cans. Large single cans or left-and-right pairs for the front luggage area: the 21-litre front can for the CFMOTO CForce, the 20.5-litre front can for the Can-Am Outlander, the 8.35-litre can for the Polaris Scrambler and a pair of 5.1-litre cans for the Outlander that keeps the weight even on both sides.
Expedition canisters. Slim Tesseract canisters in 5, 10 and 20 litres, built to be carried on a vehicle, plus GKA cans — including the NZ can that fits inside a spare wheel.

How to choose a gas can for your ATV

Start with the machine and the box. Every product page lists the machines and the box the can is made for, and that list is the controlling source.
Decide where it goes. On the box lid, on the box sides, on the front rack, or — on the CFMOTO CFORCE 800/1000 EPS (2024+) — in place of the passenger seat. Some boxes take two cans, and a few take four.
Pick the volume. A full 5-litre can weighs about 5 kg and is easy to handle with one hand. Ten litres, about 9 kg full, is roughly an extra tank on many machines. Fifteen to twenty-one litres is a second tank for routes with no fuel on them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the cargo box still open with a gas can fitted?

Yes, with the cans made for that box. Their shape follows the lid or the sides of the box, so the lid opens normally with the fuel in place. Side-mounted cans leave the lid completely clear.

Does the can come with a mount?

Yes. The quick-release fasteners are included with every can and ship in the same parcel, so it arrives ready to fit. If you ever lose one, replacement fasteners are available separately — ask us.

What if my exact year or trim is not listed?

Email mail@atvbox.eu with your model, year and a photo of the mounting area. We would rather check first than have a part come back.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Shipping is calculated in the cart and at checkout once you select your country, because bulky parts are priced by volume rather than weight. USA takes 13–20 days after order confirmation; Canada and Europe take 3–5 weeks by EMS or 10–18 days by DHL Express. Some countries are served by DHL only, and the checkout shows what is available for yours.
