Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Skid Plate Set for CFMOTO CF500-A / CF500-2A

An underbody set for both versions of the CFMOTO CF500 — the single-seat A and the two-seat 2A.

Two design decisions in this set are worth knowing about. First, the mounting uses the frame’s regular attachment points with a reduced number of fixings: fewer bolts to fit, fewer to check, fewer to lose on the trail.

Second, and more useful than it sounds: holes are provided for the transition platform of a snow blade. On a machine that spends winter clearing yards and driveways, that means the skid plate and the blade mount coexist instead of competing for the same frame points.

The set is a V1, which in this range means it carries the CFMOTO logo and is supplied to official distributors. V2 is the same plate without the badge.
