This 130-litre rear box covers the second-generation Can-Am Outlander family, from the 570 up to the 1000R, across the XT, XMR and Limited trims. It uses the full length of the rear platform without pushing past the width of the machine, so the quad handles the same loaded as it does empty. Thirty extra litres over the common 100-litre boxes is the difference between two helmets and two helmets plus the rest of the day's kit. The lid closes onto a water- and dust-proof rubber seal, which matters more on the Outlander than on most machines: XMR owners spend their time in water deep enough to reach the rack. Empty weight is 9.5 kg. It goes on with quick-release fasteners and comes off the same way, with no tools involved. SKU: 010-075-00 On hunting and fishing trips the volume takes the load off the rider and keeps it dry. Work crews use it for hand tools, spare parts and a first-aid kit that has to stay clean. For touring, 130 litres is enough for a two-person overnight kit without strapping anything to the outside of the machine. Does the 130L Can-Am Outlander rear box include a fuel can?
No. The rear box and its mounting/locking hardware are supplied as the box package, while the compatible fuel can is an optional accessory. Order the can and its required mount separately unless a bundle states otherwise.
Is there a locking mount for the 20L jerry can on the Outlander box?
The rear box itself uses keyed locks, while the jerry can uses its own separate mounting system. A locking can mount is only included or available when it is specifically listed for that can, so check the selected can/mount SKU rather than assuming the box key locks the can.
