Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

20.5-Litre Front Fuel Can for BRP Can-Am Outlander

Twenty and a half litres on the front platform of the Can-Am Outlander — the largest fuel container Tesseract makes for this machine. It was designed around the Outlander's front rack, so it fills that space properly and does not obstruct the rider's view forward.

A can this size has to be carried as well as mounted, and this one has two handles on each side. Full, it holds around 15 kg of fuel; four grip points is the difference between lifting it and wrestling it.

The silhouette is deliberate rather than utilitarian — it follows the lines of the machine, and in red it reads as part of the quad rather than something strapped to it.

Can this front fuel can be used with Can-Am 4-inch or 6-inch rack extensions?

We cannot confirm it. The can is designed for the standard front platform and uses its own mounting plate; compatibility with Can-Am LinQ rack extensions is not declared by the manufacturer. If you already run extensions, send us a photo of your front rack and we will check before you order.
