Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

TESSERACT Trailer Box — 115 Litres on the Drawbar

A 115-litre box shaped for the trailer drawbar — the triangular dead space ahead of the bed that normally carries nothing at all. Special fasteners clamp it to the frame, so the load bed stays completely free.

The shell is moulded in 3.5 to 4 mm plastic. That thickness is what lets it live permanently outdoors: it takes mechanical knocks, ignores UV, and does not go brittle in the cold or soften in the heat.

The lid seats tightly onto the base, and the box carries two rubber locks plus eyelets for padlocks. Rubber locks hold the lid down over rough roads; the eyelets are there for when the trailer is left somewhere and you want a real padlock on it.

Straps, ratchets, chocks, a tool roll, spare bulbs and a jack — the things a trailer needs but which get in the way of whatever it is actually carrying. Kept on the drawbar they are always with the trailer and never under the load.

For anyone towing a quad to the trails, it also means the recovery kit travels separately from the machine and does not have to be unpacked to get the machine off.

Compatibility

Universal. It is shaped for a trailer drawbar and fixes to the frame with the supplied fasteners, so it is not tied to one trailer model.
