Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Fender extensions for the Can-Am Outlander Max 570, in high-quality plastic shaped to the Max bodywork.

“Max” means the two-seat version, and that is what makes this a different problem from the single-seat Outlander. The wheelbase is longer and the passenger sits further back — directly over the rear arch rather than behind it.

A passenger in that position gets everything the rear tyre releases, at close range, with no view of it coming. Extended arches are the only part of the machine that changes this.

The set bolts to the factory fenders with nothing cut, and the shape continues the Max’s own line front and rear.
