Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

A skid plate set for the large CFMOTO ATVs — X8 H.O., CFORCE 850, 850XC and X10 — in 4 mm aluminium alloy.

Weight is the argument on machines this size. A 400 kg ATV that grounds on a rock does not slide off it politely; it settles onto it, and whatever is underneath takes the full standing load of the machine. The engine case, the gearbox and the CVT housing are all down there.

Aluminium is the right material because steel plates heavy enough to do this job on a big ATV cost real ground clearance and real payload. Four millimetres of alloy gives the strength without either penalty.

Fixings mount on the frame’s regular points, so nothing is drilled and the set is fully reversible.
