Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Tesseract 10-Litre Expedition Jerry Can for CFMOTO

A 10-litre expedition can in classic proportions but a newer, harder-edged shape. The change is not only cosmetic: the relief surfaces and sharp edges add rigidity to the walls, and the result reads as part of the machine rather than as a plastic container tied to it.

It is set up for BASIC quick-release fasteners, the same system used across the Tesseract range, so it goes onto a box lid or a rack and comes off again without tools.

Ten litres is the practical expedition size — enough to matter, still liftable when full. Empty weight is 1.8 kg, and the filler spout and locking ring come with it.

Expeditions and long routes, where carrying your own fuel is what makes the distance possible. Ten litres is roughly an extra tank on most machines.
