Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

5-Litre Jerry Can for the AODES Pathcross 525 Cargo Box

A 5-litre ATV gas can built around the Tesseract box for the AODES Pathcross 525. Its outline follows the side of the box, so the can sits flush against it instead of hanging off a bracket.

Because it mounts on the side, the can never blocks the lid and leaves the inside of the box for cargo. The box has room for two cans, one on each side, for 10 extra litres of fuel that travels with you.

The shell is wear-resistant high-density plastic that copes with large swings in temperature, from a cold morning start to a hot afternoon on sand. Basic quick-release mounts fit it in less than a minute.

Empty, the can weighs 1.3 kg.
