Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Arch extenders for the two-seat CFMOTO X5HO, CFORCE 550 and 500HO LX. Moulded from flexible, frost-resistant, impact-resistant plastic and shaped to repeat the machine’s arch line.

On a 2up machine the arithmetic changes. The rear wheels sit under the passenger rather than behind the rider, so the spray from them lands on a person instead of on the rack — and that person is not steering and has no warning.

Extended arches are the only part that addresses this. Mudguards further back catch what is already airborne; a flare stops it leaving the tyre.

Mounting is on clips, drilled in place, with all hardware supplied. Nothing on the original bodywork is cut.
