Fender extensions for the Polaris Sportsman 850 High Lifter — the factory mud edition, with the lift, the snorkels and the oversized tyres already fitted. That specification is exactly why the standard arches fall short. Polaris raised the machine and fitted taller, more aggressive tyres, but the fender was drawn for the standard Sportsman. The gap between tread and guard on a High Lifter is where all the mud escapes. These extensions carry the guard line down and outward to cover the actual tyre, in high-quality plastic that survives repeated impact from lugs throwing debris upward at speed. They follow the factory guard closely, so the aggressive High Lifter look is kept rather than diluted. SKU: 2897 Deep mud, which is the entire premise of the High Lifter package. A machine bought for this and ridden without extensions puts most of the bog on its rider. Water crossings, where the wheels emerge coated and the first few metres out of the water are the messiest part of the day. Will these fender extensions fit a Polaris Sportsman 850 that is not a High Lifter model?
They are made for the Sportsman High Lifter 850 and High Lifter 1000 body shape. Standard Sportsman models use different fenders, so the High Lifter version is not guaranteed to line up. Send your exact year and model and a photo of the fender and we will confirm.
