Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Tesseract 20-Litre Expedition Canister

The largest canister in the Tesseract range. Twenty litres is the size you carry when the route has no fuel on it at all — a genuine second tank for most machines, in a container built to be strapped to a vehicle rather than stood in a garage.

The proportions are unusual: 875 mm long and only 110 mm thick. That is deliberate. A tall, boxy 20-litre can sits high and shifts weight around; this one lies flat along a rack or a bed side and keeps its mass low.

Relief surfaces and sharp edges are moulded through the walls to add rigidity — a 20-litre can holds around 15 kg of fuel, and flat panels would flex. It takes BASIC quick-release fasteners, and comes with a filler spout and locking ring. Empty weight is 3 kg.
