Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

12.5-Litre Fuel Can for Polaris Sportsman 850 High Lifter

Extra fuel for the Sportsman 850 High Lifter, in a 12.5-litre can shaped to this machine. It mounts on the cargo box lid or directly on the rear rack — the contour is cut to fit both.

Two cans can be carried, which puts 25 litres on board. On a mud machine that is not a luxury: deep water and soft ground empty a tank at a rate that surprises people used to trail riding.

The fasteners are supplied and the whole job takes half a minute by hand. The shell is durable high-density polyethylene, chosen for exactly the conditions this quad is built for. Empty weight is 2.2 kg.
