Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Skid Plate Set for Hisun Tactic 1000

A full underbody set for the Hisun Tactic 1000 in 4 mm aluminium, weighing 21.67 kg complete. It protects the frame and everything mounted to it from the ground up.

Two construction details separate this from a plain sheet of metal. The bolt heads sit in recessed seats, so they are not sheared off when the plate slides across a rock — the most common way a skid plate stops being attached to anything. And the panels carry stamped stiffening ribs, which resist the bending that turns a flat plate into a scoop after the first serious hit.

The front arm guards include plastic flaps that shield the outer CV joint boots. A torn boot lets grit into the joint and the joint fails soon afterwards, usually a long way from the workshop.

Aluminium rather than steel keeps the weight where it can be carried — 21.67 kg of protection low on the chassis, rather than 40 kg of it.
