Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

A 5-litre fuel can made to sit on the Tesseract cargo box of the CFMOTO ZForce 800 and Z8. It covers the older generations of the machine — the 2010–2015 and 2016–2018 model years — which is worth noting, because CFMOTO changed the rear layout after that.

Five litres is the size that gets used rather than admired. It is light enough to lift and pour with one hand when full, and small enough that several can be carried without turning the back of the machine into a fuel depot.

Mounting hardware comes with the can, so there is nothing else to order. The set also includes the filler spout, retaining ring and cap.
