Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

An extender that enlarges the front rack on the CFMOTO X8, CFORCE 800 and 820LE.

The front rack on a utility ATV is the awkward one. It is smaller than the rear, it is shaped around the headlights and the bodywork, and anything wider than it overhangs with nothing underneath to rest on. The result is that most owners use it for very little.

The extender gives it a usable flat area and, more importantly, gives it edges to strap to. A load is secured by what you can pass a strap around, not by the surface it sits on.

It is also the practical answer for machines already carrying a relocated radiator on the front rack, where the remaining space needs to work harder than before.
