Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

The rear opening is the one people forget. A UTV with a front screen and an open back is worse than one with neither: air enters at the rear, and everything the rear wheels lift comes forward into the cabin instead of being left behind.

Closing it also stops the cabin acting as a wind tunnel. On a working machine at low speed that is a comfort improvement; at road speeds it is the difference between talking to your passenger and shouting at them.

Polycarbonate is the right choice at the rear specifically because there is no wiper and nothing gets wiped — the crazing problem that rules it out at the front does not apply here, and the impact resistance does.
