A cargo box for the Yamaha VK 540 in frost-proof reinforced polyethylene, with 55 litres of usable space inside a 75-litre external envelope. Fifty-five litres is enough for two helmets, which is the measure that actually tells you something. A box that takes two helmets takes a change of clothing, a shovel, a spare belt and a flask with room to spare. The rubberised locks are the winter detail. They will not pack with snow and will not freeze shut, which is what happens to metal catches within a couple of hours of any real cold. On the lid there is a flat mounting area for GKA fuel cans in 4, 5, 10 and 12 litre sizes — extra range carried outside the box rather than at the expense of it. The BASIC fastener is the recommended mount. Supplied with two rubberised locks, two yellow reflectors and a fastening-sling installation set. Weight is 6.4 kg.
