Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Snowmobile Cargo Box GKA No 3 for Polaris Widetrak

A cargo box for the Polaris Widetrak, moulded in frost-proof reinforced polyethylene and shaped to sit on the machine’s standard rack position.

The word that matters is frost-proof. Ordinary polyethylene goes brittle in deep cold, and a brittle box on a snowmobile tunnel cracks the first time it takes a knock at −30 °C. This one is formulated not to.

The same logic drives the rubberised locks: they cannot pack with snow and they cannot freeze shut, which is what happens to metal catches by the second hour of any real trip.

The lid carries a flat mounting area for GKA fuel cans in 4, 5, 10 and 12 litre sizes. The BASIC quick-release fastener is the recommended mount.

Only if your machine is a 600 IQ WideTrak. The declared fitment is the Polaris WideTrak line, and the 600 IQ is not listed separately — a standard 600 IQ that is not a WideTrak should not be treated as compatible. Send us your full model name and we will confirm.
