Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Audio Speaker Protective Caps for Tesseract Roof Boxes

Protective caps that fit inside the roof box, over the base of each speaker. They seal the dome from behind, which is where water actually gets in — a speaker mounted in a roof panel is protected on the outside by its own grille and completely open on the inside.

The caps do two jobs at once: they keep moisture out of the speaker magnet and terminals, and they shield the cone from mechanical damage by whatever shifts around inside the box on rough ground.

Installation is by screws into the existing speaker base — no drilling and no modification to the roof box. Fit them when the audio goes in and they need no attention afterwards.
