Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Rear Cargo Box for Kymco MXU 700

A 115-litre rear box made for the Kymco MXU 700. Both the luggage rack and the backrest were taken into account during design, which is why the box drops into place without anything being removed first.

It does not reach past the outer dimensions of the quad, so the rider can still move and shift position freely — the thing that usually goes wrong when a box is fitted to a machine it was not drawn for.

At 7.5 kg it is light for 115 litres, and the reason is the ribbing moulded through the shell. Fitting takes about thirty seconds: quick-release fasteners into the existing rack openings, no tools.

Will this rear box also fit a Kymco MXU 450i?

No. The box geometry follows the MXU 700 rear rack and backrest. The MXU 450i rack differs, so this box is not a direct fit — send us a photo of your rear rack and we will tell you whether a universal box with U-bolt mounts will work instead.
