Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

12-Litre Front Jerry Can for the Segway Snarler

A 12-litre can that mounts in the centre of the front luggage rack on the Segway Snarler. Two metal plates and four M6 screws with nuts take the load; a Basic quick-release lock on the upper plate lets the can come off without touching the plates again.

That arrangement is the useful part. The mounting stays on the machine, so the front rack alternates between the can and a Tesseract front box depending on whether the trip needs fuel or storage.

The shell is high-strength polyethylene that stands up to any weather, and a handle is moulded in for carrying a full can. Empty weight is 2.8 kg.
