The canister is not included and must be purchased separately.
Additionally, to install the canister on the trunk, you will need a separate mount for the canister.

Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

Please follow the manufacturer’s rated load for your front/rear rack or tunnel. Internal volume is listed on the product page; distribute weight evenly and secure the load.

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

GKA R 302 — Rear ATV Box with Backrest and Narrowed Base

The R 302 is the R 303 with a reworked lid and a narrowed base. Both changes are practical rather than cosmetic, and both cost a little internal volume: 80 litres here against 96 in the original.

The narrowed bottom is the reason to choose it. A box with a tapered base sits on racks that a full-width box will not, which on smaller or unusually shaped luggage platforms is the difference between fitting and not.

The lid gained handles, so a loaded box can be lifted and positioned by hand rather than wrestled. A backrest comes in the set, the seal is the same D-profile rubber gasket used across the range, and the shell is first-grade imported high-density polyethylene.

Use Cases

This is the model to reach for when the rack is the problem. If a box has already failed to fit, or the platform is narrow or oddly shaped, the tapered base usually solves it without giving up much capacity.

With the backrest fitted it does the same job as the R 303 for family riding and trips — two people, a day's kit, everything sealed and locked.

Compatibility

Universal, through the adjustable U-bracket set, and the narrowed base widens that further. Confirmed brands include Stels, Hisun, CFMOTO, Cectek, Yamaha, Honda, BRP, Suzuki, Polaris, Kawasaki and Kymco.

If your rack takes a full-width box and you want the volume, the R 303 holds 96 litres. Without a backrest, the R 301 is lighter again.
