Guards for the front A-arms of the Can-Am Maverick X3, cut from 4 mm aluminium. The arms are the most exposed structural part of the front end — low, wide, and directly in line with every rock the machine drives over. The guards are not flat sheet. They carry stamped forms that do two things at once: they stiffen the panel so it resists deformation, and they lift it clear where mud needs somewhere to go, so the guard sheds rather than packs. Included are plastic flaps that shield the CV joints — the failure that actually strands a machine. A branch or a rod through a CV boot lets grit into the joint, and the joint is finished shortly afterwards. Installation is bolt-on, and the set is specific to the X3 chassis rather than adapted from a generic pattern. SKU: 40.4299 Rock and root, where the arm meets the obstacle before the skid plate does. A bent arm changes the geometry of the front end and is not a trailside repair. Mud running, which is where the CV flaps earn their place — a torn boot is invisible until the joint starts clicking, and by then it is too late. Dunes and desert, where the X3 is driven hard and the front suspension takes repeated hard landings on unknown ground. Fits the following Can-Am Maverick X3 versions, 2017 onwards: See also the plastic doors for the Maverick X3.Front A-Arm Protection for Can-Am Maverick X3
