Do I need tools or drilling to install?

Most items mount to factory points using the included hardware and basic hand tools. Drilling is not required unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Is it weather-resistant / waterproof?

Products are designed to be weather-resistant for normal riding conditions. Lids use perimeter seals (where applicable) to help protect contents from rain, snow and dust. Not intended for submersion or pressure-washer jets directed at the seals.

How much weight can I carry?

What materials is it made of? Will it handle low temperatures?

Boxes and canisters are typically made of high-strength, UV- and frost-resistant polyethylene (model-dependent). Hardware is galvanized or stainless steel. Operating range suits most climates; avoid open-flame heat sources and harsh solvents.

Can I use this together with a passenger seat or backrest?

Most rear solutions are designed to stay within vehicle dimensions and not interfere with a passenger. Always check product photos and dimensions; on some models repositioning of handholds/backrests may be required.

Footwell Protection for Can-Am Maverick Trail / Maverick Sport

Guards that close the footwell openings on both the driver's and the passenger's side of the Can-Am Maverick Trail and Maverick Sport.

The problem they solve is specific. On these machines the footwell sits behind the front wheel with the plastic wheel arch as its only barrier, and sticks and branches that come up off the trail go straight through it. The arch cracks, and then the footwell is open.

The guard takes that strike instead. The wheel arch stays intact, and nothing arrives in the footwell while your foot is in it.

It fits both sides — the passenger footwell is the one most often overlooked and the one where the occupant has least warning.
