Universal Mounting Plate for Tesseract Boxes

The plate that puts a Tesseract box on a machine that has no dedicated fitting for one. Most of our boxes are cut to a specific rack; this is the answer when yours is not on that list, or when the box is going somewhere the factory never intended — a trailer, a custom rack, a flat bed.

It is a shaped plate with cut-outs and a fixing pattern that matches the Tesseract box mounting standard. The box goes on top of it in the normal way; the plate handles everything underneath.

Installation is a four-point rivet-nut job, not a bolt-through. The plate is positioned, marked and drilled (6–9 mm, then 9 mm), rivet nuts are set into the frame, and the plate bolts down onto them. This is what allows it to fix to a closed section you cannot reach the back of.

A word of realism: it needs a drill and a rivet-nut tool, and set properly the first time. We recommend having the rivets set at a workshop — the tool is not included, and a badly set rivet nut spins in the hole and cannot be tightened.

Before You Order

• The rivet tool is not supplied. Setting four rivet nuts properly is a five-minute job for a workshop and an expensive mistake at home without the right pliers.
• Lanyard and clamps are not included in the package.
• Drilling is required: 6–9 mm pilot, then 9 mm. Check what is behind the panel before you drill it.
