An aluminium roof rack for the Can-Am Maverick X3, in black. Heavy-duty and light at the same time, which on a roof is the specification that matters — every kilogram up there works against the machine harder than a kilogram anywhere else. It carries 35 kg (77 lbs), and the surface is not a plain platform. Three removable panels come as part of the set, prepared for mounting fuel canisters — so the rack is a fuel platform as well as a luggage one. Additional panels are sold separately. The integrated light mounting points are the other reason to buy it: two pod-type LED lights on each side and a 30″ LED bar at the front, all with fixings already provided rather than needing clamps around the tubing. External size is 1096 × 1187 mm. Black is the finish that disappears into the machine. On an X3 that already carries a cage, a rack in black reads as part of the structure rather than as something added to it — and it shows dust and trail dirt far less than a colour does. Night riding, where the integrated mounts turn a lighting installation from a fabrication job into a bolt-on one.
